Legends Home Bedding Advances to Finalist Stage of Walmart’s “Get on the Shelf” Contest
HOLLYWOOD, CA (October 31, 2013) -- Legends Home Bedding proudly announces that the officially licensed Elvis Presley® home bedding collection has advanced to the Top 5 finalist round in Walmart’s annual “Get on the Shelf” online voting contest. Legends was selected from over 5,000 product entries nationwide, and its Elvis Presley home bedding sets will now be made available for online pre-ordering on Walmart.com starting today, with the Grand Prize Winner receiving the opportunity to get shelf space in Walmart stores.
Legends Home Bedding is a Hollywood, California based company which produces high quality, stylish bedding sets featuring the likeness of the King of Rock ‘N’ Roll™. The designs and product are fully licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises of Memphis, TN.

Elvis fans interested in the Elvis Presley Home Bedding collection can place a pre-order beginning Oct. 29 at Walmart.com. The product receiving the most orders during the pre-order contest period will be named Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize Winner will be provided with marketing support on Walmart.com and be introduced to Walmart’s in-store merchandising teams for the opportunity to receive shelf space in Walmart stores across the country.

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA (September 30, 2013) -- Legends Home Bedding, LLC announced that its Elvis Presley® Home Bedding Collection has advanced to the final round in Walmart’s “Get on the Shelf” contest. Legends is one of only 20 finalists selected in this online voting contest from over 5,000 product entries nationwide. The Elvis Presley Home Bedding Collection will now be featured in an original web series produced by VIMBY, a Mark Burnett Company, and be entered into the final round of online voting, where consumers will have the chance to select the Top Five. These five products will be made available for purchase on Walmart.com, with the Grand Prize Winner receiving shelf space in Walmart stores.

Elvis Presley was born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo Tennessee, He and his parents moved to Memphis in 1948. Elvis' music influences were the pop and country music of the time. He was influenced by the black R&B he absorbed on
historic Beale Street as a Memphis teenager. In 1954 he began his singing career with the Sun Record label. By 1956, he was an international singing sensation. He starred in 33 successful films and made history with his television appearances and specials live concert performances on tour and in Las Vegas.
His talent, good looks, sensuality, charisma, and good humour endeared him to millions, as did the humility and human kindness he demonstrated throughout his life. Known the world over by his first name, he is regarded as one of the most important figures of twentieth century popular culture.

A Special Tribute to Gladys Love Presley!
Born April 25th, 1912 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi Gladys shared a very special bond with her only child Elvis®. Gladys, one of nine children, began to work as a seamstress in Tupelo at age 19 to help support her large family after the passing of her father.
On June 17th, 1933 Gladys married Vernon Presley and they rented a home in the Tupelo area. Two years later she gave birth to twins. One of whom was named... Elvis Presley®! Though twin brother Jessie was stillborn and she was ill Gladys pulled through.
The bond between Gladys and her only child, Elvis was full of love and encouragement. Though she struggled with the fame that followed Elvis with his growing successes they remained close until her passing on August 14th, 1958.
This Mother’s Day, we would like to share our appreciation for the woman who raised the man we know and love, Elvis Presley! We’d also like to encourage you to express your love for the Mothers in your life.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers out there!
